1% for Summerfuel Scholars

Summerfuel is dedicated to making a Summerfuel summer a possibility for an accomplished and diverse group of students every year. That's why we are proud that at least 1% of all program fees go to funding partial and full-tuition scholarships for well-deserving students from around the country.

Summerfuel Scholars

Summerfuel is committed to providing exciting opportunities to a diverse group of high school students. We have established the Summerfuel Scholars program, which awards competitive partial-tuition scholarships to motivated and accomplished students from across the United States to attend any Summerfuel program. These scholarship awards are based on financial need and merit components. The deadline to apply for summer 2017 is March 15, 2017. Please note that the Summerfuel Scholars application will double as a general Summerfuel application, should a scholarship award offer be made. While applying for Summerfuel Scholars, please do not also submit a general Summerfuel application and program deposit, unless the student plans to attend a Summerfuel program, regardless of whether or not a scholarship award offer is made.

Our Partners

We are proud to partner with the following organizations to provide scholarships to our programs in the US and abroad, to hard-working and passionate students from across the country.

BCNY

We offer hope for a better future and challenge boys to reach their full potential. Along with encouragement, we provide boys the opportunity to acquire skills to make their goals a reality. For without hope for the future, boys have no reason to strive; but without the skills to achieve their dreams, hope is just an empty promise.

Jack Kent Cooke Foundation

The Jack Kent Cooke Foundation is a private, independent foundation established by Jack Kent Cooke to help exceptionally promising students reach their full potential through education. Launched in 2000, the Foundation focuses in particular on students with financial need. The Foundation’s scholarship and direct service programs support the education of approximately 650 remarkable students each year, while our grantmaking allows thousands more to engage in challenging educational experiences.

Minds Matter

Minds Matter is a nationally recognized not-for-profit, serving high-achieving, low-income students in cities across the United States. Our mission is to transform the lives of accomplished high school students from low-income families by broadening their dreams and preparing them for college success.

REACH Prep

REACH Prep helps motivated and talented Black and Latino students from low- to moderate-income families secure admission into and thrive in competitive independent schools in Fairfield and Westchester Counties and the Bronx. Upon placement, students benefit from an eight-year educational continuum, including comprehensive academic enrichment, leadership training and individual and family guidance, which prepares them to succeed at competitive colleges and universities.
