Your Home at Yale

This summer, you'll live like a Yale undergraduate student at Silliman College. Silliman is a beautiful college and its students are known to be the most spirited on campus.

Housing: Silliman College is a rectangular building with a large, central courtyard. Rooms are suite-style, with four double rooms clustered around a common space and bathrooms. You will share a double room and your suitemates will be carefully selected using our housing questionnaire.

Facilities: Silliman's courtyard, with its grass, benches and picnic tables, is a Yale favorite. The courtyard doubles as informal athletic fields for games of Frisbee, football and volleyball and is the site of many campus events. Silliman also has many indoor amenities, such as a student lounge, library and laundry rooms.

Dining: Your dining hall is just a short walk from Silliman College, where your meal card will give you access to full buffet style dining options. You can catch up with friends and soak up the collegiate ambiance provided by this traditional, wood paneled hall. You can also head to nearby eateries like Thai Taste, Yorkside Pizza or Ivy Noodle - all Yale undergrad favorites.

Security: Silliman College has 24 hour security, with electronic key card access required for entry to both the outdoor courtyard and to each building entrance and suite.

Our Students

Like in college, Summerfuel seeks a broad and diverse student body at Yale. Our students come from all over the US and over 30 different countries. Our students work hard and play hard, balancing their academics with fun-filled activities and excursions. Most come independently and are eager to meet new people. The friendships developed at Summerfuel are often life-long and, as alumni tell us, often the highlight of the summer experience.
