Think Critically, Think Creatively

Leaders for Social Change encourages you to think critically and creatively about societal challenges and empowers you with the knowledge, skills, and perspective for socially responsible leadership.

Hands-on workshops will develop your communication skills, build your confidence and challenge you to think on your feet. These active and engaging sessions will teach you the real-world tools you'll need for success. By the end of the program, you'll have a better understanding of your personal leadership style and have stronger public speaking and writing skills. Topics will include: effective oral presentations, teambuilding, problem solving, mock interviews, social media use and grant-writing.

Experts in their field and with extensive teaching experience, Summerfuel faculty will engage you both in and out of the classroom. Interactive courses and workshops will challenge you to think critically about social issues and motivate you to be a change-maker for your community. You will design your own community service project from start to finish - all ready to implement in your home town.

Hands-on Workshops

Boost your leadership skills through dynamic workshops in public speaking, teamwork and mock interviews. Debate important global issues, from sustainable energy and human rights, and hear from compelling guest speakers.
