Summerfuel in Nerja Student Life
Spanish in España Nerja consists of a month-long homestay combined with classroom based language study, daily activities and weekend excursions throughout Andalusia. Spanish in España is designed for students who have had at least two years of high school Spanish. The combination of intensive formal language instruction with real life immersion in the life and culture of Spain helps you to achieve fluency and confidence in the language and gain an intimate knowledge and relationship with Spain. Through living closely with a family, students quickly become adjusted and find themselves speaking Spanish more easily than they ever thought possible.
The carefully chosen families that open their homes to Summerfuel students are your key to accessing the Spanish language and culture. You will be treated as a member of the family and experience a level of cultural and linguistic immersion that goes far beyond the limits of tourism. Our experienced representatives have placed Summerfuel students over the past eighteen years and are natives of the towns in which they live and endeavor to ensure an excellent matching family for each Summerfuel student. Many families return year after year to host Summerfuel students. It is a testament to the strength of the program that Spanish families and their Summerfuel students often keep in touch long after the program has been completed.

Daily Spanish classes expand your knowledge of vocabulary, grammar and idiomatic expressions so that you have the confidence to interact with your homestay family and Spanish friends.
Workshops
Spanish in España offers students specialized workshops as part of the program. Scuba Diving, Pottery & Ceramics and Dance Plus! will be offered to Summerfuel in Nerja students.
Discover
Virtually unchanged for centuries, Nerja’s old quarter is famous for its narrow cobbled streets that spill into many small merchant and residential squares. The Balcón de Europa, in the heart of town, is a promenade along the edge of a towering cliff with impressive panoramic views of the Mediterranean and the small coves and beaches below. Nerja enjoys a privileged location surrounded by mountains and the Mediterranean Sea and is ideal for a wide range of activities like hiking, swimming and snorkeling.
