Summer Programs: UC Berkeley with ASA Summerfuel

There's no "typical" day at Summerfuel. You will have the freedom of a college student, doing what you want to do with your time, choosing from a variety of activities that change from day to day. Here's a sample schedule:

Your Home At Cal

Your summer home will be in the Foothill dormitories in the wooded northeast section of campus - one of the most sought-after residential areas on campus.

Housing: You will share a double room, which is grouped in a suite with a living room and bathroom and has spectacular views of the SF skyline and Golden Gate Bridge. All rooms are fully furnished and have wireless internet access. Foothill also contains modern lounges, laundry machines, and computer labs.
Dining: You'll receive three meals a day (brunch and dinner on weekends) and enjoy an incredible variety of menu choices at the easily accessible Foothill dining hall.
Sports Facilities: Berkeley's Cal Rec center offers eight extraordinary recreational facilities, Olympic-sized swimming pools, softball fields, and professional tennis courts.
Security: The Foothill Dormitory features 24 hour security, with electronic key card access required for entry.

Our students come from all over the US and over 30 different countries. Roommates are carefully selected using responses to our housing questionnaire, matching interests, age and gender.

The city of Berkeley retains the spirit of its counterculture roots. Composed of several eclectic pedestrian-friendly "villages" - from Telegraph Avenue with its urban street vendors to the upscale specialty shops of North Shattuck - Berkeley offers an exciting mix of boutiques, restaurants and "only-in-Berkeley" people watching opportunities.
