Your summer home is the Residencia Universitaria Sarria, Barcelona's most sought-after student residence, located in a safe, elegant and sophisticated area near the city center. Summerfuel students are housed in double rooms, all of which enjoy air conditioning and private bathrooms and are supervised by residential advisors (RAs) that live on the hall. You will have access to the library and computer room to check email, play pool in the lounge, settle down with your friends to watch movies in the 50 seat mini cinema or go for a swim in the rooftop pool that overlooks Barcelona. Summerfuel students have privileged use of the sports center located next to the dormitory where you can enjoy soccer, tennis, and swimming or work out in the gym. Breakfast and dinner are served at the residence.

Summerfuel in Barcelona is an exciting opportunity to live, study and explore in one of Europe's most magical cities and by the time you leave you will know the city inside and out. Barcelona enjoys a reputation for being cutting edge and cosmopolitan and boasts some of the finest museums in Europe as well as the ultra modern Olympic port and beaches. You are given the responsibility and independence to balance classes, activities, and free time to make sure you get the most out of your experience. You can choose to join a Summerfuel supervised activity or trip, play sports, or use free time for relaxation. You are also free to sign out to explore the city in small groups without supervision. Summerfuel staff are always available to accompany student groups and help ensure access so that you see and do as much as possible.

Adventures in Barcelona
Every day we’ll offer options from our jam-packed activities calendar, designed by a lifelong resident of the city. From Europe’s largest soccer stadium to the Picasso Museum, Barcelona has more than enough to keep even the most ambitious students busy. The evening activity program will introduce students to different aspects of Spanish culture, including food, film, music, theater and politics.

Exploring Spain
We offer more excursions than any other academic program in Spain, so students can fully experience Spain. You will visit the historic sites of Montserrat, Figueres, and Girona, the beaches of Sitges, Sant Feliu de Guíxols, Rosas, and Tossa del Mar, and the Port Aventura Theme Park.
