Summerfuel in Barcelona Activities

Afternoons and evenings are designed to make sure you make the most of your time in Barcelona and you'll quickly become an expert on how to get around and enjoy this incredible environment where the possibilities are almost endless. The learning experience extends beyond the classroom and you will find your inspiration as much from discovering your favorite spot for tapas as marveling at works in the Picasso museum. You will have a metro pass that gives you full access to Barcelona's transportation system so that you are free to travel with the group or independently. You can choose from a range of athletic and recreational activities: soccer, tennis, basketball, ice skating, movie nights, kayaking in the Olympic canal, museum visits, concerts, a mountain hike, attend a bullfight, shopping on the Passeig de Gracia, discos and trips to the beach to name a few. There is also plenty of down time for you to practice your Spanish, enjoy the city and soak up the local flavor at a cafe or hang out at the dormitory with friends.

Summerfuel in Barcelona Trips

Part of the richness of your experience in Barcelona and Spain will certainly be the exciting range of excursions we have planned and the fun of exploring not only a new city, but also a new country. Saturdays and Sundays are reserved for day trips so that you can get to know some of the fabulous surrounding areas and sites of interest. You'll travel to the cathedral and monastery at Montserrat, tour medieval Catalan towns such as Tossa del Mar and San Feliu, go on a walking tour of Girona's Jewish quarter, see the Roman ruins at Empuries, visit the Dalí museum in Figueres and the seaside retreat at Cadaqués, relax on the beautiful beaches and seaside resorts of the Costa Brava, visit Sitges and even spend at day at Spain's largest theme park.

Paris Extension Trip

What better way to compliment your month abroad in Europe than to travel to one of the continent’s cultural capitals? Enjoy a three-day visit to the city of lights, featuring organized tours and activities highlighting Paris’ greatest monuments and some of its more off-beat attractions. Climb the Eiffel Tower, visit Notre Dame and experience some of Europe’s greatest museums. In the evenings, take a cruise on the River Seine, explore Ile St Louis or just watch the world go by from a Parisian café.
